vintageTEK Org intends our Museum Building to be located along the Sunset Highway (Hwy 26), and be architected to look like a mini version of the original Tektronix Beaverton Plant on Barnes Rd and Hwy 26.
The unique architecture of the front entrance (shown below) will be replicated as close to original as possible, using new technology brickwork surrounding the entrance, and the walkways leading up to it.
Bricks will be specially formed or engraved with names and Dates of Tek Service as a memorial to loved ones, or for any commemorative purpose approved by our Board of Directors. You need not be an ex-Tektronix Employee, if you want to commemorate Tek’s contribution to our community, your family, or the Silicon Forest Tek spawned.
To reserve a brick, or as many as you desire, please send a $25 reservation fee for each brick, and your reservation will get placed in priority order for your selection of location – based on the date and time of your payment. Refunds on brick reservations will given only in case our 2015 deadline is not met, w/o interest please. Brick prices TBD prior to building.

Want to Volunteer to Help the Museum?
vintagetek.org would like to compile names of prospective Volunteers who would be willing to assist us with the Museum effort. As we move towards our goal of raising $5M to $7M, obtain leased space, and continue through the construction of our own building, we will need your volunteer help or donations.
- Currently, only a few dozen of our available instruments have been renovated to museum quality. Renovation of any and all Tek gear from 1946-1980 is needed.
We will supply the hardware, space, and parts; you supply the expertise.
- We own >10,000 photographs and negatives to catalog (and identify), catalogs, manuals, and marketing materials.
- Inventory and bar-coding of the materials we possess, should greatly improve our efficiency, and help predict our display space and storage requirements.
